Should I Consider A Laser Face Lift Or Other Non Surgical Techniques ?

For many, the way that we look is of vital importance, with the increase in both surgical and non surgical face lifts reflecting this increasing importance. There are advantages and disadvantages to the different types of face lifts. Perhaps the first area of consideration is that of cost, with surgical procedures costing much more than non surgical. In addition, the non surgical face lifts offer a much lower risk of complications since they are much less invasive. Procedures for the face lift without surgery varies from a laser face lift and college implants to facial exercise systems and healthy living.
Non surgical techniques.
This type of procedure is probably best suited to those who are between 30 and 40, who are experiencing some sagging in the facial area. Although wide varieties of techniques are available, it is recommended that you thoroughly discuss the matter with your physician before embarking upon any techniques.
One of the most popular techniques is that of laser face lift. This technique differs to a surgical face lift in that it focuses upon only the surface of the skin. As such, it is able to remove wrinkles and fine lines, but not folds of loose skin. A local aesthetic is required if only small areas are to undergo treatment, although a general aesthetic can be given for large or multiple areas.
Micro current Therapy works on the acupuncture points, with a minute electric current being passed, which stimulates the facial muscles. This flexing and relaxing causes the muscles to tone and strength and thus lift up the face as a whole.
A very popular technique is that of Thermage. This is a relatively new procedure in which a radio frequency is delivered into the skin, which heats the dermis whilst simultaneously cooling the epidermis. These radio waves then break down the molecular structure of the outermost layer of skin, resulting in the production of collagen. As a result, the new skin formed is much firmer and tighter due to the increased levels of collagen. For this procedure, no anesthesia is necessary, with a numbing cream being applied instead.
Simple surgical techniques
The mini face lift is perhaps the ideal alternative to a full face lift, which is much more invasive as well as costly. This procedure targets those with mild to moderate sagging, with particular reference to the cheek and chin area. This technique can be performed under either general or local anesthetic, with the incisions being hidden in the natural folds of the facial area as well as within the hair line. However, this type of facelift focuses upon the lower part of the face, having minimal impact upon lines around the eye or forehead region.
Overall, when considering a facelift, it is important to look at all of the options prior to taking action. The main difference between a surgical and non surgical facelift is the fact that with the surgical option, there is a removal of excess skin and tissue. Different people have different problems, thus take the time to investigate techniques for yourself, talking with the physicians at length before agreeing to any techniques. Looking good is important for many of us, so investigate well and take the plunge.
