Each serving of the drink contains the juice of a half to a whole squeezed lemon, a pinch of the preferred spice, two tablespoons of syrup, and eight ounces of cold water. The program prescribes six or more cups of this drink a day.
Lemon Detox Is Not Safe For Everyone
While using this detox program, one is not supposed to eat solid foods. Some sites even instruct the use of laxative teas on top of this juice fast. Anyone who is considering using the lemon juice method should be aware that this is simply not a long term solution for weight loss or a normal part of healthy living. For those who are in good health, as verified by a physician, short fasting periods are not typically harmful, but anyone with a health issue should talk to a medical professional before trying any detox diet that calls for fasting. To be completely clear on this point, anyone with heart problems or diabetes should always seek medical advice for help with weight loss.
