Our culture is one of instant gratification. We want the magic bullet, the quick fix, the instant potion. This is true for most people when it comes to weight loss. Unfortunately, this instant solution does not exist. However, this does not mean that one must treat losing weight as an unending war, a war fought in daily battles of willpower. Exercise is also an essential piece of the weight loss equation. Though you can lose weight by restricting calories alone, you are not doing it as optimally as you could. Here are some exercises and weight loss tips that will help you reach your true goal – a healthy body:

Your body will adapt to exercises quickly, and the stresses you put upon it will become routine. Thus, you need to constantly up the ante and keep your body guessing. *Don’t neglect strength training. You will benefit from it no matter who you are.

*Make sure to get adequate sleep. Getting around 7 to 8 hours a night is important for two reasons. First, you will recover from workouts, thereby improving your fitness. Second, lack of sleep contributes to hunger. The more you sleep, the more you will be able to control your eating throughout the day.
