Super Size Your Health Tip: Transform Acne Into A Healthy Face
Tags : Acne, Super Size Your Health Tips
As you pass through life, there are few things that destroy confidence more than pimples and a poor complexion. Here is a short video that shows you the proper way to wash your face.
This video gives you some basics. Growing up in a family with a pharmacist as a father exposed me to many prescription remedies for acne.
Today it is not uncommon for me to see a frustrated teen in the pharmacy that just came from the dermatologist with several HUNDRED dollars worth of prescriptions to treat acne. Cleansers, creams, antibiotics, gels. etc…. I often feel it is overkill.
Here is my formula for maintaining a healthy complexion.
- Drink a minimum of eight glasses of water per day. Adequate hydration of your skin alone could improve your complexion in two weeks.
- Avoid carbonated, sugary beverages like sodas, fruit juices, etc… While there is defined proof that this will cause breakout, they are not healthy and are an unnecessary source of calories.
- Take a high quality probiotic supplement every day to help improve digestion of food and restore balance in the gastrointestinal tract.
- Take a high quality pure Omega 3 fatty acid supplement daily to give your skin the building blocks to repair itself.
- Take a Digestive Enzyme with each meal to help break down and digest your food.
- Regardless whether you are male of female, visit your local Clinique counter and get a cleanser and clarifying lotion for your skin type.
- For women, it is important to cleanse your face before applying your makeup. It is also important to use makeup that is non-comedogenic (doesn’t clog pores)
- Dedicate a towel in your bathroom for face use only, reduce contamination from your standard hand towel.
Are you up to the challenge? Give it a honest try for two weeks. I bet your skin will thank you.
What have you done to improve your complexion?
