As we age the term anti-aging seems to frequent our vocabularies more. Not only do we speak on it ourselves, we tend to pay more attention to the media and advertising related to the subject. It may even come up at lunch with the girls.

Today more than ever it seems we are bombarded with the need to maintain a more youthful appearance. It helps us feel better about ourselves and gives us the confidence to make the moves we need to succeed both personally and professionally.

Anti-aging, from a woman’s perspective, is more about controlling the effects that time has on our appearance so that we don’t have to think about it and we want products that we know we can trust to help us achieve those goals.

This has become a vast and every growing industry and more than one of us have wandered down the wrong path on our journey to look and feel younger. The purchase of magical creams and ineffective anti-aging supplements has made many of us wary of the products which are available. Too often we have been lulled in by a lot of hype only to find another product which we mournfully throw into the trash.

Advertisers and manufacturers need to realize that the women of today require more than the products themselves, we require an education. If we see a beautiful woman holding a bottle of this or that with claims of perfection we are immediately turned off. Yes, we know about Photoshop! Beauty doesn’t sell to the older woman, facts do.

Tell us what your product is going to provide and how it will do that, give us the science. We are far more advanced and educated than our mothers were and thanks to the internet, we can do our own research, so make sure those facts are straight.

As woman, we want to know that the products we use are both safe and effective. We are well aware that nothing short of a botox tattoo will remove every wrinkle, so be honest. Gaining our trust should be the anti-aging industries top priority. Once you have that, you will have a very loyal and attentive consumer.

So in a nutshell if you want our perspective on anti-aging it is this. We all will use these products. We hate that we have to, but we will, so don’t convince us we need them, convince us we need yours.
