Healthy living is something everyone wants. We all want to be free of the chronic diseases such as candida, fibromyalgia, heart disease, diabetes, excess stress, complications of menopause, digestive problems, prostate issues, thyroid problems, poor memory and the ravages of arthritis. In Healthy Living you learn the three most important concepts to health and longevity. First is diet. Diet not only covers special eating for weight loss but also learning to eat well. Identifying dangerous foods in the diet and reducing or eliminating them is essential. Learning to consume and healthy diet and avoid dangerous foods is not that difficult. The number of dangerous foods is really not that many and include high sugar and starchy foods consumed to excess. By eliminating just a few foods you can greatly reduce your chances of developing such chronic conditions as candida, fibromyalgia, heart disease, diabetes, excess stress, complications of menopause, digestive problems, prostate issues, thyroid problems, poor memory and the ravages of arthritis because each of these condition is the result of poor living habits. Exercise is the next of the three health wonders. The human body was meant to move. No, saturated fats actually increase HDL !!!
I suggest you pick up a copy of Fats And Oils by Eurasmus. This explains albeit somewhat technically, the whole fat situation. The ideal diet should be mostly monounsaturated fats and some saturated. Polyunsaturates should be avoided at all costs. Remeber your grandparents and great grandparents consumed almost totally saturated animal fats and heart disease was virtually unknown!!!!
Cardiologists have told me to stay away from saturated fats and eat mono and polyunsaturated fats. How can there be a mixup like this in the medical community. Even my nutrition professor says saturated fats are to be avoided. Don’t saturated increase LDL levels?
Polyunsaturated fats are the absolute worst!!! They are the major cause of liver toxicity, inflammation in the body, and are the number one cause of heart disease, the number one killer…. Olive oil and all monounsaturated oils are the best. Secondly saturated fats, in moderation, actually lower cholesterol levels over time due to the effect of their key fatty acids on the liver function. Remember, we don’t eat cholesterol it is made and regulated in the liver.
I’ve been told by doctors that you should avoid saturated fats and that vegetable oils are better. Olive the best. What’s worse polyunsat or sat fats?
